🗺️ Vueling at Orly: Barcelona and the rest of the network

Barcelona is by far Vueling’s biggest route from Orly, with departures right through the day. The Spanish airline also connects Paris-Orly with Valencia, Alicante, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Lanzarote, and goes further afield to Florence, Rome, Lisbon and Copenhagen. All of these leave from and arrive at Orly 1.

Many of the travellers we meet off a Vueling flight are in Paris for a short stay: a weekend, a trade fair, a family visit. Time counts, and a taxi queue eats into it. Add the flight number when you book. If the plane from Barcelona is held on the ground, we know the new landing time before you do, and your driver simply turns up later, without you lifting a finger. The first 2 hours after the real touchdown are free waiting time.

The check-in deadline for your return depends on Vueling’s own rules and on whether you have a bag to drop, so look at your booking before you choose the pickup time for the way back.

⭐ What you can count on at Orly 1-2

Same standard on every pickup, early in the morning or late at night:

We select each driver ourselves, as much for the way they drive as for how well they know the airport. When you travel with your family, that is the part that matters most.

⏱️ Changing terminals, or changing airports

Moving about inside Orly is easy. From Orly 1 you can walk indoors to Orly 2 and on to Orly 3 in a few minutes. Orly 4, where the long-haul flights operate, is a separate building. The quickest link is Orlyval, the small automatic train, which costs nothing for this hop and takes a minute or so; otherwise, follow the covered passage, which has moving walkways, or take the free bus that leaves every five minutes or thereabouts.

Changing airports is another matter. Plenty of our passengers land at Orly 1 on a Vueling or easyJet flight and fly on from Charles de Gaulle a few hours later, often with a bag to check in again. By train, the trip between the two airports takes sixty to seventy-five minutes, with changes along the way. A private car is the simplest way to make a connecting flight at Charles de Gaulle, and we plan the pickup around both flight times.

🚖 Orly 1-2 taxi rank, ride apps or a booked driver

At Orly 1-2 you will find a rank of official Paris taxis outside the arrivals level, and a signposted meeting area for Uber, Bolt and Heetch. Both work well when things are quiet. When several flights from Spain and Italy touch down within half an hour of each other, the taxi line grows, and app prices climb with demand.

A booked transfer works the other way round: the car and the driver are reserved for you before you even board. There is no line to join and no car to hunt for; you walk out of the baggage hall and your driver is standing there. For families, it also means the child seat is fitted before the car ever reaches Orly, and nobody has to wrestle with a seat belt at the kerb.
