🚖 Changing airports in Paris: Orly to CDG by private car
Paris has two main airports, and they sit on opposite sides of the city: Orly roughly 13 km south of the centre, Charles de Gaulle (also called Roissy or CDG) around 25 km to the north-east. If your first flight lands at one and your next one leaves from the other, you have roughly 40 km of motorway and the whole of the Paris region to cross.
A private transfer turns that into one simple leg. ⏱️ How much time do you need between Orly and CDG?
The drive itself is about 45 minutes when the roads are clear, nearer an hour when the A86 and the A1 are busy, typically on weekday mornings and late afternoons. That is only part of the connection, though. Count the time to leave the plane and collect your bags, the drive, and then the check-in deadline of your next airline, which is often two hours before a European departure and three before a long-haul one.
If your two flights are on separate tickets, the second airline will not wait for you if the first one is late, so build in a generous margin. Give us your arrival flight number when you book: your driver follows it live and is there when you walk out, whether you land early or late. For a very early departure from CDG, many travellers prefer to arrive the evening before and sleep at an airport hotel; we take you there too.
💶 How much is a transfer between Orly and Charles de Gaulle?

Taxis work differently on this route. No set taxi tariff exists between Orly and Charles de Gaulle: the meter runs from start to finish, slow traffic on the ring road adds to the total, a higher rate applies after dark and on Sundays, and a pre-booked taxi adds a reservation charge. Apps like Uber and Bolt work out their fare when you order, and it moves with demand. With a private transfer booked ahead, you know the amount before you land.

ℹ️ RER B and Orlyval
The Orlyval light rail runs from Orly to Antony, where you join RER B, which goes all the way to Charles de Gaulle. Paris Aéroport puts the journey at roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter from station to station, not counting the walk to the platforms or a wait for the next train.
ℹ️ Metro line 14 and RER B
Metro 14 links Orly to Châtelet, in the centre of Paris, where you change to RER B northbound for the airport. Trains are frequent, but Châtelet is one of the busiest stations in Europe, and line 14 is sometimes disrupted by maintenance works.
ℹ️ Coach
There is no dedicated airport shuttle between Orly and CDG any more. A few long-distance coach lines, such as FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus, stop at both airports: you book a seat on a set departure, and the coach leaves on time whether or not your plane has landed.

Charles de Gaulle is spread over three terminals, and Terminal 2 alone has seven halls, from 2A to 2G. You pick your exact terminal in the booking form. Your driver parks in the Parking Pro that serves it (T1 for Terminal 1, AB for 2A and 2B, CD for 2C and 2D, EF for 2E and 2F, or T3) and meets you at the arrivals exit, with a name board if you ask for one. The free CDGVAL train only links CDG’s own terminals, never Orly.

A long connection is tiring enough for children without a train change. We fit a baby seat, child seat or booster for each child, free of charge; just give their ages and weights when you book. Our drivers are selected for their careful driving, because we know who is sitting in the back.
⏱️ Night flights and early departures
Late arrivals at Orly and dawn departures from CDG are part of the job. Trains stop running around midnight; your driver keeps going, whatever time your plane lands.

ℹ️ From CDG to central Paris, Disneyland or back to Orly
Not every trip from Charles de Gaulle is a connection. If Paris is your destination, your driver takes you from CDG to your hotel or flat in about 35 to 50 minutes, depending on the district and the traffic on the A1. Flying out from Orly when your stay is over, from a hotel in central Paris, works the same way.
